01How to delete from the app

1. Open the Coachalyst app on iOS or Android. 2. Go to Settings → Account. 3. Tap "Delete my account". 4. Confirm your password and the deletion prompt. 5. You enter a 14-day grace period during which you can sign in and cancel the deletion from the same screen. 6. After the grace period, your data is permanently and irreversibly erased.

02How to delete via the web

1. Sign in at coachalyst.com. 2. Go to Settings → Account. 3. Click "Delete my account" and follow the same confirmation flow described above.

If you cannot access your account (for example, you lost your credentials and cannot recover them), email privacy@coachalyst.com from the email address associated with your account. We will verify your identity and delete the account on your behalf.

03What is deleted

After the grace period we permanently erase:

• Your profile (name, email, date of birth, preferences).
• Your training, nutrition, supplement, habit, cycle, sleep, readiness, and recovery logs.
• Your progress photos and videos.
• Chat messages, check-ins, and notes you created.
• Any Apple Health / Google Fit data we synced.
• Your subscription entitlement and customer portal access.
• Attribution cookies and any marketing subscriptions we maintain for you.

04What we must retain (and why)

We keep a narrow set of records even after account deletion, because the law requires us to or because they no longer relate to you as an identifiable person:

• Invoices and payment records: retained for 10 years (Cypriot and German tax law).
• Security audit logs (IP addresses for login attempts): 90 days.
• Abuse records where necessary to prevent repeat violations: up to 2 years.
• Community contributions (food photos, recipes, public-library entries) you previously chose to share with the wider Service: the contribution itself is retained so the community database stays useful for every other user, but it is irreversibly anonymised on deletion — your name, profile, and account identifiers are removed and the contribution can no longer be linked back to you. After anonymisation it is no longer your personal data within the meaning of Art. 4 (1) GDPR. The licence terms are set out in Terms § 9.

These records are kept in separate, access-controlled storage and are not used to rebuild your profile.

05Deletion and grace period timeline

• Day 0: You submit a deletion request.
• Day 0-14: Grace period. You can cancel at any time and keep your Account.
• Day 14: All data listed in section 3 is removed from production databases and flagged for destruction in backups.
• Day 14-30: Data is purged from 30-day rolling backups as they rotate.
• Day 30: Backup purge complete. Your deletion is final.

06Questions and assistance

Email privacy@coachalyst.com. We respond within 5 business days. If you are unable to complete deletion via the app or website, we will delete your account manually after verifying your identity.
